Townley Toonington was the founder of Toon Town and first Mayor of Toon Town. An explorer by nature, if not by talent, he made many startling discoveries that mostly related to how he had been holding the map upside-down the entire time. He built Fort Townley in the Mudson Valley after following the river the wrong way. He was last seen journeying north to find the south pole, and may be stuck inside an iceberg.
Backstory
The oldest son of the esteemed Toonington family from Blighty, young Townley's obsession with exploring (and complete lack of aptitude for it) estranged him from the rest of his family at an early age when he got lost on his way home from boarding school.
