The Church of the Big One is a religious organisation centered around worship of The Big One, the earthquake that redefined the fabric of reality around Hollywood. Adherents believe that the earthquake is, or embodies, a divine entity that must be convinced not to destroy the world. The nature of this convincing takes the form of large monetary donations, usually via televised sermons.
