Tarantula Park is a public park located just south of Sunset Slums in the City of Hollywood. It was named after local philanthropist Hiram Tarantula, rather than the giant spider that lives there and eats people, which has not been formally identified.

The park has a baseball field that was used by several local "Little League" baseball teams, who have since gone feral after the untimely sequential disappearance of all supervising adults. It is presumed that they are too small to be considered prey by the giant spider, although it is equally likely that their ferocity with customized baseball bats has deterred the predator.
