Pygmalion syndrome is a condition unique to animators, where they experience attraction, love, or even lust for the characters they create. Due to the reclusive nature of animators, it is most commonly left untreated.

Although technically not terminal in nature, Pygmalion syndrome has still occasionally led to death via the natural toon response to unwanted romantic attention: extreme physical violence.
