There are exactly 92 individual mesas, divided by canyons between them, which have a total of 233 outcroppings. The tallest is 8,372ft above sea level, and the widest seventeen miles in diameter. The mesas have their own microclimate due to their elevation, with some seeing below-freezing temperatures all year round.
